Support
Need help with your account, a technical problem or a safety concern? Email contact@viauni.ch. ViaUni is an independent, non-commercial project run by Ien Meier.
Account and technical help
Include the email you use for ViaUni, your device model, the app version and a short description of what happened. Screenshots and an approximate time can help. Please hide other people’s private information, and never send login or verification codes.
Logging in
ViaUni uses email codes. Check your spam folder and use the newest code. If delivery fails or you no longer have access to your email, contact support. University email verification is optional and is separate from logging in.
Report or block someone
Open the menu on a profile or in a conversation and choose Report or Block. Reporting from the app includes the relevant account and context. You can also email a concern, including if you cannot log in. Do not send illegal images or intimate material by email.
To ask for a review of a moderation decision or a photo safety result, email support with the affected account and what you would like reviewed. Reports and appeals are handled by the operator; this is not a continuously staffed emergency service.
Delete or deactivate your account
In the app, open Profile → Settings → Account to deactivate your profile or request deletion. Deletion hides your profile and restricts normal access immediately. You can sign in and restore the account within seven days. After that window, automated cleanup removes the account and associated stored files; failed steps are retried.
If you cannot use the app, email contact@viauni.ch to request deletion. We may need to verify that the account is yours. See the privacy notice for retention details.
Privacy requests
You can request access, correction or deletion, or ask a question about how your information is used, at contact@viauni.ch. See the privacy notice and terms of use.
Immediate danger
Call your local emergency services. In Switzerland, call 112 for emergencies, 117 for the police or 144 for medical assistance. Do not wait for a response to an in-app report or support email.
